btw: where did you get that incredible profile picture of jonah (I am assuming it is the prophet jonah, no?) I really really really like it. the prophet jonah is near and dear to my heart, as we named our middle son jonah and he has sort of grown into his namesake's name.. gulp! :)
I am fascinated by the story of Jonah the reluctant prophet. If you look at the June 1, 2007 posting on my “November In My Soul” blog you’ll find the story of Jonah through my eyes. As for the photo I found it somewhere in the wilds of the internet.
This year, for the first time ever... there will be a pan-Orthodox Blessing of the Waters at the Tidal Basin. I think it's Sunday 2:00 to 4:00pm range. Could be a little more frosty than Hotlanta area... but that's what heavy clothing's for.

So beautiful...and how wonderful you go outdoors -- it is joyful at my parish indoors, but what a blessing to head outside. Thanks for sharing.
